What I Wore: Chic in Chiffon

I for one am all about style, but I refuse to sacrifice comfort to look good. So I combine the best of both worlds when creating my outfits. I wore this to work and believe me, working a 10 hour day is all the more incentive to be comfortable. This look I pieced together is definitely chic and business casual while still being comfy. The secret is chiffon. One of my favorite fabrics, chiffon is loose, flowy, and elegant. On my frame, when I wear looser fitting clothes, they tend to make me look larger, but chiffon still emphasizes my shape without being too clingy.
I paired a chiffon tank top with a chiffon jacket with back zippers and leather accents. In all honesty, I found this jacket in my closet with the tags still on it….oops! A simple pair of skinny black pants kept my look neutral and were the perfect balance between my beige jacket and boots. My rule of thumb with heels is the thicker the heel, the more comfortable they are. I think I paid about $40 for these boots from Forever 21 last year and they were worth every penny.
I didn’t want to overdue the look with accessories to take away from the focal pieces of my outfit (the jacket and boots) so I opted for a simple gold necklace and matching headband. Voila!
One of my favorite bloopers from this impromptu photoshoot. Buffy loves to photo bomb my shots!
